Hi everyone! I'm the founder of The Hope Blossom Project. My name is Melania Gerges. I'm 17 years old and I'm from Staten Island.
I’ve always had a love for flowers—not just because of their beauty, but because of the joy and warmth they can bring to someone’s day. I especially also know how powerful just a few encouraging words can be. There have been moments in my life when even a single message of motivation made all the difference, and I wanted to create something that could do the same for others.
I launched The Hope Blossom Project with a mission to make a meaningful impact and bring my community together through kindness and connection.
Our Mission
At The Hope Blossom Project, we believe that small, thoughtful gestures can spark a ripple of hope. We deliver flowers with handwritten motivational notes to individuals who may be going through difficult times. Our deliveries are done in a gentle and thoughtful way—placing them quietly on cars parked outside hospitals, offering a moment of unexpected encouragement. We also bring these arrangements directly to residents in nursing homes, spreading joy and reminding them that they are seen and cared for.
Through this project, I’ve found a true passion for service, and I’m dedicated to growing this mission with compassion, purpose, and love.
